Moore Tea Citizens (mteac.com) held a Saturday Seminar to educate attendees on the federal Common Core program. The event was held at the Pinehurst Village Hall on Saturday, January 25, 2014, from 10:00 AM through 1:00 PM. This video records the entire event.

Speakers covered the history of Common Core, the curriculum, the testing program, data mining & student tracking, cost of implementation, and solutions/ways to fight to abolish the program. Speakers included Rhonda Branson (teacher), Stormy Henning (mother), Hank Henning (Guilford County Commissioner), Lisa Stafford (teacher), Donald Bryson (Americans for Prosperity), Jamie Faulkenberry (Director of Operations for Lt. Governor, Dan Forest), Ed Dennison (Moore County Board of Education), and Aaron Spence (Moore County Schools Superintendent). The event was hosted by Miriam Chu (Chair of Moore Tea Citizens) and moderated by Bonnie Dougherty (Education Advocate and member of Moore Tea Citizens).
